Joy Lynn White is an American country music singer. Gained fame in the Country Music world in the early 1990s. In 1992 after being nominated for the Academy of Country Music's award for top new female vocalist. She ultimately lost to Canadian artist Michelle Wright. Despite not having an American top 40 hit she did have a top 10 hit on the Canadian charts in 1999, a duet with Canadian artist Charlie Major.

Dixie Chicks covered both "Cold Day in July" from Joy Lynn White's first album and "Tonight the Heartache's On Me" from "Wild Love" album.
