Afghanistan War Memorial, Kiev

Afghanistan 1979-1989 War Memorial is a monument in Kiev ("Kyiv"), the capital of Ukraine, commemorating soldiers who died fighting during the war in Afghanistan, after the Soviet Union invaded that country in 1979. The memorial is located halfway between Pechersk Lavra and the Great Patriotic War Museum. [ "Statues and Monuments of Kiev City."
