Nari Family

Nari Family

Nari is a diverse and historical family name. It originates from Iraq during the time of the Babylonian Empire (see Babylonia) Babylonia, and so dates back to over 2000BC.

The word 'Nari' translates from Arabic into a number of phrases and words, these mainly being either 'my fire' or 'servant of God.'

The family of Nari has most naturally been followers of Christianity however, due to the diversity of the family, family members are found globally between Australia, Canada, England, Holland, Jordan, Iraq and Turkey, and as a result the members of the Nari family are now seen to be rather eclectic in character and have very separate and interesting beliefs.

Due to the vastness of the family, and the unusual surname, 'Nari' has captured the attention of a number of authors and writers and a book has even been published following the vast family tree and gives information inro its origins. The book is titled 'NARI' and is written by the author J.H.Crawford.

During the lifetime more recent Nari family members, a number of enterprises and businesses have come and gone, these include a successful sauce company in Iraq during the mid 20th century, a pharmaceutical company within both Iraq and England during the late 20th Century, a yoating line and a law firm, both of which still run today.

The reason to the extreme diversity of the family is due to the Iraqi Revolution of 1959 and the dicapitation of the monarchy that caused a numerous number of families to migrate elsewhere.
