- Juan Solari
Juan Solari is a Mexican actor, VO artist, production manager, casting, tv and film director.
BA in Theatre Arts from the Drama School of the National Institute of Fine Arts, Mexico.
He has been General Manager of two of Mexico City's finest theatres, and he has also reviewed films and entertainment programs for Mexican radio and television.
In late 1999 he moves to London where he wrote and directed his 16 mm short film opera-prima "Latin Doves" (Official Selection at Sarasota and Rhode Island International Film Festivals USA).
Then in 2002 he steps in to journalism, writing from London his own column for the Web Page of one of Mexico's most important broadcast television companies, TV Azteca. By 2003 he is appointed news correspondent for the UK by the same company.
In the same year he diversifies his professional career working in London as a voice-over artist in a wide range of projects and clients from Microsoft to BBC.
In January 2003 Solari completes the MA in AudioVisual Production (as a Film Director) at London Metropolitan University with his latest short film, the thriller "Marionettes".
Shortly after, he founds Solar Dreams Productions Ltd. an independent TV and films production company.
After being specially invited by the Universities of Cambridge and Southampton, Juan Solari has imparted two Film-Making Seminars at these institutions.
In 2006 he is nominated by The Foreign Press Association in London as the best foreign documentarist in the UK for the documentary Iran, Behind the Door Line.
