Víctor Manuel Fernández Gutiérrez aka Víctor (born 17 April 1974 in Mérida, Extremadura) is a Spanish footballer, who currently plays for Real Valladolid of the Spanish "La Liga". His usual playing position is striker.

Club career

A product of Real Madrid's youth system, Víctor debuted in the Spanish first division with CD Tenerife, without much success from 1994-96. In the end of the second season he played with CD Toledo, then in the second level.

In 1996-97, Víctor joined Real Valladolid, scoring 16 league goals in his debut season and, from 2000-04, spent another four seasons with Villarreal CF, where he was also a regular fixture (with 28 successful strikes in his first two seasons combined).

On July 2004, he was deemed surplus to requirements at Villarreal and rejoined Valladolid, teaming up with centre forward Joseba Llorente for three years, and scoring 9 goals to help the side retain its first division status in 2007-08.

International career

Víctor played one match for Spain, subbing in for Luis Enrique in a February 23, 2000 0-0 friendly draw with Croatia, in Split.
