Pedro Geromel

Pedro Tonon Geromel (born September 21, 1985 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian footballer. He is a central defender who currently plays for 1. FC Köln in the German Bundesliga.

During his career, Geromel played with Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras in native Brazil (2002-03), and Grupo Desportivo de Chaves (2003-05) and Vitória Sport Clube (2005-08) in Portugal. At Guimarães, he was an undisputed first-choice, as the Minho side got promoted from the second division and achieved UEFA Champions League qualification in just two seasons.

In an online votation, Geromel was considered as the best Portuguese league player, beating FC Porto's Lisandro López and Lucho González.

On June 30, 2008, Geromel moved to German Bundesliga side 1. FC Köln, recently promoted.
