USS "Alarm" (AM-140) was an built for the
U.S. Navy duringWorld War II . She was built to clear minefields in offshore waters, and was given to theSoviets under thelend-lease program.She was laid down on
8 June 1942 atTampa, Florida , by theTampa Shipbuilding Co.; launched on December 1942; sponsored by Mrs. M. A. Lynch; and completed on5 August 1943 .Transfer to the Soviet Union
On the same day, she was transferred to the
Soviet Navy under the lend-lease program and served them as T-113.Disposition
Never returned by the Soviets, "Alarm" was carried on the American Navy List as MSF-140 after
7 February 1955 until1 January 1983 when her name was struck.References
