King Baby is the fifteenth episode in the of the popular American crime drama "", set in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Summary

Tough acting casino boss Bruce Eiger is found dead on the steps of his mansion. Catherine's team is first on scene, but then Grissom and Ecklie turn up. Ecklie explains that due to the high profile nature of the victim, both teams will be working the case. Catherine is not happy at this. During the course of investigating the scene, Catherine's crime scene photos are stolen and turn up on TV. A local photographer turns out to have stolen them. He was previously at the scene photographing one of Eiger's rivals, Sy Magli, having an affair with Eiger's wife, Donna. This was so Magli would have some dirt on Eiger.

When Catherine returns to the crime scene to collect more photos, she discovers the previously empty trash bins are full. After recovering the items, the team discovers an adult diaper, blood spattered clothing, and a rug. After comparing the rug to the office they discover Eiger's secret room, furnished like a nursery. They also discover that Donna Eiger discovered her dying husband and watched him die, unwilling to look after him if he lived.

Further investigation into Eiger's infantilism lead them to discover his secret files on various people, including the sheriff, judges, and various sports stars. They also discover that he was administered LSD via an enema as part of his play routine. Examination of oil found on the drive leads them back to singer Tanya Rollins, who works for Magli. Tanya was coerced into acting as Eiger's maid after he took her child away and kept promising to return him only if she continues to be his maid. She administered the LSD and watched him accidentally fall to his death during a bad trip.

Catherine makes up with Grissom at the end. Grissom startles Catherine when he explains how he misses her in the team and mentions he misses her tush. Earlier on Grissom explains he is pleased that Sofia did not quit. This was brought up in the previous episode, Unbearable.

Reception

Writer Jerry Stahl's episodes of "CSI" tend to deal with transgressive topics [http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2006-02-07-csi-kink_x.htm Why not 'CSI: Kink'?] , "USA Today", February 7, 2006] and this episode was controversial for dealing with infantilism. The Parents Television Council, which has frequently criticized "CSI" for its violent content, named this episode the worst television show of the week it airedcite web

"King Baby" had the second highest viewing figures of the season, 30.7 million, only beaten by Stahl's other episode, "Ch-Ch-Changes", whose 31.5 million viewers made it the most watched CSI episode to date.
