Vic Chanter (born 26 January 1921) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy in the VFL.

Chanter debuted in 1946 and when Fred Hughson left Fitzroy at the end of the 1947 season, Chanter took over as fullback. In 1951 he became the first ever Fitzroy fullback to win their Best and Fairest and is the only one in history to have kept John Coleman goalless in a game.
