On September 2007, he was ranked first in the world by KeSPA, making Taek-yong the firstProtoss player to be ranked first in the KeSPA Player Rankings. He is also known in the StarCraft Progaming community as Bruce Lee Toss (due to his likeness to the martial arts actor and the race that he plays as (Protoss)).Team
Bisu started his progaming career being part of
MBCGame Hero , a South Korean e-Sports team sponsored by MBCGame, a subsidiary ofMBC Plus which is a company owned by theMunhwa Broadcasting Corporation , one of four majorSouth Korean television and radio networks. In February 2008 Bisu transferred to rival teamSK Telecom T1 for a transfer sum rumored to be around 200,000 US dollars.Bisu was initially recruited onto

In March 2007, at the GOMTV MBCGame Star League (MSL) Season 1 grand finals, Bisu beat the number one ranked player and heavy favorite, sAviOr, by a score of 3-0, shocking the StarCraft world.
