ymbol: The Turtle
The turtle was chosen because of its many symbolic characteristics to Native Americans. It is a constant, unchanging symbol that has been in existence for over 175 million years. The turtle has the remarkable ability to survive even when it is seriously wounded, similar to how Phi Sigma Nu displays strength and endurance through adversities, challenges, and changes.
