Pheasey

Pheasey

Pheasey is a residential area of Walsall in the West Midlands of England.

It is situated in the east of the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall and is located near the border with Sutton Coldfield, and has only been part of Walsall since 1974. Before then, it was part of Aldridge and Brownhills Urban District Council. The area was predominantly developed for private housing in the 1930's and completed after the Second World War. The earlier houses are very simlar in construction to the adjacent areas of Birmingham which were built as Council Housing and though private were sold to industrial workers of north Birmingham. The Park Farm development was built in the early 1960's. As house prices have increased the area has become one of the more advantaged parts of the Walsall borough.

St Chad's Church is unusual in that while built by the Church of England it is now jointly operated with the Methodist Church.

Schools include Barr Beacon Language College.

Barr Beacon is a local landmark.
