Melbourne , Victoria,Australia . It is 23km NW of theCBD . Its Local Government Area is theCity of Brimbank . Taylors Lakes is bounded byJacksons Creek and theMaribyrnong River in the north, Overnewton Road andTaylors Creek in the east, Lady Nelson Way in the south and the Bendigo rail line in the west. The suburb is mostly composed of recent developments dating from the 1990s.One of Keilor's earliest settlers was
Scotsman William Taylor, who built the Overnewton homestead in 1849. Taylors Creek was named after him. This in turn gives the name of the suburb.There are many available facilities in Taylors Lakes, such as shopping centres, cinemas, schools, a train station, a bus line, parks and gardens, sports grounds, roads, houses and kindergartens.
Transport
The suburb is well serviced by trains on the Sydenham line which terminate at Watergardens station, and a number of connecting bus services to local areas. The
Taylors Creek Trail runs along Taylors Creek and provides ready access toWatergardens Town Centre and Watergardens station. Many bus lines run throughout the Taylors Lakes district which provide adequate transport to the many residents living there.Commercial
