Miguel Ángel Yunes Linares (born December 5, 1952 in Veracruz) is a Mexican politician. Holds a degree in law at the Universidad Veracruzana as well as a diploma in Political Analysis at the Universidad Iberoamericana. Prior to that, he acted as coordinator of the Interior Secretariat Advisors, Director General of Prevention and Social Re-adaptation, advisor to the Under-Secretariat of Public Security for the Interior Secretariat (Segob), Secretary General of Government, General Coordinator of the Delegations of the Secretariat of Urban Development and Ecology and Chief Clerk of the Grand Commission of the Chamber of Deputies.
He was assistant director of Airports and Auxiliary Services of the Communications and Transport Secretariat (SCT), president of the Fiscal Tribunal of Veracruz as well as Legal and Legislative Affairs Advisor of the Government of that state.
His public posts included being elected local and federal director in Veracruz and plurinominal federal deputy.
In the academic sphere, the new ISSSTE director has been a professor in the Law Faculty and a researcher at the Universidad Veracruzana.
He was also a member of the National Association of Lawyers.
