- Icebreaker Vladimir Ignatyuk
Icebreaker "Vladimir Ignatyuk" (formerly Arctic Kalvik) was built in
1982 at theVictoria Yard of theBurrard Yarrows Corporation located in Victoria ,British Columbia ,Canada for Beaudril (Gulf Canada) for use in Anchor Handling and Icebreaking in the Beaufort Sea .The Kalvik (Class 4 Icebreaker) is the
sister ship to theCCGS Terry Fox built by Burrard Yarrows Corporation - Vancouver,BC. In2003 , the "Kalvik" was sold toMurmansk Shipping Co. and was renamed the "Vladimir Ignatyuk".Two other Class 4 icebreakers were also built for Beaudril , "Ikaluk" - Japan and the "Miscaroo" - Vancouver Shipyard plus the conical drill platform - "Kulluk" - Japan .External links
