"Pithecellobium" is a legume genus in the family Fabaceae.

Delimitation to the closely-related "Albizia" is a matter of dispute, and species were (and still are) being moved from one genus to the other times and again. In addition, most species of "Abarema" were at one time or another placed in "Pithecellobium".
