"Lady Blue" was a crime drama starring Jamie Rose as a Chicago female homicide detective Katy Mahoney. The show was produced by MGM/UA Television and aired on ABC-TV from September 26, 1985 to January 25, 1986 for 13 episodes. It was cancelled after one season not only because of the low ratings (due to competition from the Top 10 hit Cheers and the Top 20 hit Night Court, both on NBC, and the Top 30 hit Simon and Simon, on CBS, all in the same time slot), but because it was considerably too violent for its time.

It was reported that Katy Mahoney was the female version of Harry Callahan aka Dirty Harry, prompting television critics to refer to Mahoney's character as "Dirty Harriet".

Plot

Katy Mahoney is a female homicide detective in Chicago that tracks down delinquents and other suspicious characters, using harsh methods that are not entirely ethical, but get the job done.
