WHTE-FM is owned and operated by Monticello Media. In addition, it also broadcasts on 104.9 FM in Downtown Charlottesville on a translator W285EF-FM which is 46 watts of power. On July 10th, 2007, [http://www.vartv.com VARTV.com] reported that Kalil and Company Inc announced that it brokered a deal for Clear Channel to sell its entire Charlottesville cluster to George Reed's Sistema 102 LLC for $7.75 Million. Sistema 102 LLC changed it's name to Monticello Media on September 1st, 2007.
