IC3 (certification)

Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) is a qualification delivered and overseen by Certiport. The qualification itself consists of three individual exams, all of which must be taken and passed with a 45 minute time limit for each exam. The three sections that the qualification consists of are "Computing Fundamentals", "Key Applications", and "Living Online". It also paves the way to higher level certifications such as the A+ Certification.

Computer Fundamentals

"Computer Fundamentals" deals with hardware, software, and operating systems. The exam consists of a 45-minute multiple choice question section. The maximum score is 1000, the minimum passing requirement is 800.

Key Applications

"Key Applications" covers generic program functions, as well as basic Word and Excel functions. The maximum score is 1000, the minimum passing requirement is 750.

Living Online

"Living Online" deals with the internet and networks, e-mail, web browsers, and the general impact of the internet on society. The maximum score is 1000, with a minimum passing score of 800.
