His brother was also professional ball player but only played in the minors.He now lives in
Wading River, New York .Osik is now the Head Baseball Coach at Farmingdale State College, a division III institution located on Long Island in New York. He has led them to their first ever conference championship as a member on the NCAA this past season (2008).
