Neurovax is a vaccine designed to treat patients with Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.). Developed by Orchestra Therapeutics, it is currently in phase II clinical trials. Neurovax is designed to stimulate FOXP3+ regulatory T-cells that can then suppress the autoreactive T-cells in some patients.
All work with Neurovax is currently on hold, as Orchestra Therapeutics, the organization responsible for the drug, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October 2008 as reported by the North County Times. [1][dead link]
