Southgate College campus is located in the London Borough of Enfield, and situated beside the Southgate's main shopping centre and within a 200m walk of the Southgate tube station on the Piccadilly Line. It is a cosmopolitan college with over 11,000 students of all ages studying on full- and part-time courses ranging from basic skills through to A levels, GCSEs, Access to HE, HNC/HND and foundation degrees. Southgate College has out centres in Edmonton Green, Enfield and Potters Bar and is in partnership with organisations like learndirect and Middlesex University.

The College has a highly successful football and Rugby league team which is prominent in the local press due to its success rate in national and local competitions.
