Mohni road

MOHNI ROAD is one of the oldest Roads of Lahore, Pakistan, and is adjacent to Bilal Gunj (a market famous for second-hand parts of vehicles) and behind the shrine of Data Gunj Bakhsh.

Mohni Road is also known for its lively life but typical 'badmash' culture.

The Road is said to have been named after Mohini Hameed, a famous Christian Radio Star known for her melodious voice. Before her marriage to the Radio Pakistan programme officer A. Hameed, her name was Mohni Das.

This Road has the honour of producing so many great politicians Mr.FARRUKH SHAH and Mr.JAMAL AKRAM & Best wrestlers like Bholo Pahalwan, Jhara Pahalwan (Rustam-e-Pakistan) and Gama Pahalwan (Rustam-e-Hind}.[citation needed]
