Blue Peter was a Canadian new wave synthpop band in the early 1980s. They had one notable Canadian Top 40 hit, "Don't Walk Past" in 1983.

The band members were Geoff McOuat, Mike Bambrick, Ron Tomlinson, Chris Wardman, Paul Humphrey, Owen Tennyson, Rick Joudrey and Jason Sniderman. Sniderman, the son of Canadian businessman Sam Sniderman, subsequently became an executive for his father's company, the record store chain Sam the Record Man.

In 2007, the band reissued their catalog as three compilation CD's. [http://www.myspace.com/bluepetertheband]
