Gabriel Daniel Norwood (born on February 9, 1985) is a Filipino-American former NCAA basketball player at George Mason University. Norwood is currently playing for Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the Philippine Basketball Association. He is also a member of the Philippine national basketball team.

Collegiate career

Norwood spent his life in many different parts of the United States while his father, Brian Norwood, now defensive coordinator at Baylor University coached different collegiate football teams. In high school, he and his brother (Jordan Norwood, a football player at Penn State where his father coached until 2007) were part of the state championship team at State College Area High School in State College, Pennsylvania.

About the Player

Norwood, a 6'5" Guard-forward, was a member of the national basketball team of the Philippines, which represented the country in the William Jones Cup, and in the FIBA Asia Championship 2007.

Norwood drafted 1st Overall by Philippine Basketball League team Hapee Toothpaste.

In 2007, Norwood's rec league team won the State College, PA recreational league championship.

Norwood Drafted 1st overall by Philippine Basketball Association team Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

Norwood be the "Franchise Player" of the Rain or Shine in the future.
