"The Edge" was an evening business news talk show aired weekdays on CNBC from October 6th, 1997 to February 1st, 2002.

"The Edge" works to give investors a competitive "edge" by tracking emerging trends in business and the financial markets, delving into new cutting "edge" products and technologies, moving inside the world of aggressive investors on the "edge," and featuring opposing predictions from top analysts and business leaders trying to get a word in "edgewise."

History

*"The Edge" was only a half hour program to replace "Business Tonight" in circa 1998, aired from 6:30 to 7pm ET.
*In circa 1999, it was expanded to one hour, aired from 6 to 7.
*In circa 2000, it was shortened to half hour again, aired from 6 to 6:30.
*In circa 2001, it was moved to 7:30 to 8pm timeslot, and ended its run.
