Yvan Attal (born 4 January 1965) is an Israeli-born French actor and director.

Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel to French-Algerian Jewish parents, he grew up in the Paris suburbs. His acting debut was in Éric Rochant's "Un monde sans pitié" (1989), which earned him a César Award for Most Promising Actor. His first feature film as director was "Ma femme est une actrice" (2001), which co-starred Charlotte Gainsbourg, Attal's real-life wife. They have two children: Ben and Alice.

He also acted in "The Interpreter" and in "Rush Hour 3" and dubbed the voice of Tom Cruise in the French versions of "Eyes Wide Shut" (1999), "" (2000) and "Vanilla Sky" (2001).

Attal is currently looking into a possible role in the so far unannounced "Prison Break" season 4. The producer of the show Brett Ratner approached Attal while on the set of "Rush Hour 3". [ [http://www.prisonbreakbuff.com/prison-break-season-4/ Prison Break Season 4 ] ]
