Swavesey is a small village lying on the Greenwich Meridian in Cambridgeshire, England, with an approximate population of 2,480.

Location

It lies between Cambridge and St. Ives.

The railway line from Cambridge to St. Ives which passes through Swavesey was closed in October 1972, plans to reopen the route as a new railway or a guided busway have been proposed over the years.

Swavesey also has its own secondary school (ages 11-16) and have an intake from surrounding villages like Over, Bar Hill, Longstanton, Fenstanton and more.
