- Ronnie Tay
Rear Admiral (two Star) Ronnie Tay (born 2 October 1963) is the former Chief of theRepublic of Singapore Navy (RSN). During his naval career, his appointments included Commanding Officer, RSS Sea Lion; Commander, 188th Squadron; Commander, 1st Flotilla; Head Naval Intelligence; and Fleet Commander. RADM Tay stepped down from the post of Chief of Navy on 31 August 2007. His position as Chief of Navy was handed over to Rear Admiral (one star)Chew Men Leong .On 19 November 2007, RADM Tay became the CEO of the

Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) in 1981, and was awarded the prestigious SAF Overseas Scholarship in 1982. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and a Master of Arts degree in Engineering Science from theUniversity of Oxford in theUnited Kingdom . He also holds a Master of Science degree in Management from theMassachusetts Institute of Technology .
