"Duplicaria propelevis" is a small species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Terebridae, the auger snails.

Distribution

This species is endemic to the North Island of New Zealand.

hell description

The shell is small for the genus, very tall and slender, with axial sculpture subobsolete. The last three whorls are quite smooth, and there is no spiral sculpture.

The external shell coloration is a pale yellowish-brown.

The shell height is up to 11 mm, and the maximum width is 2.75 mm.

Anatomy

Members of this genus have a radula which has simple, curved, non-barbed marginal teeth.
