Turkish passport

Turkish Passports are issued to Turkish citizens to travel outside of the country.

Types

* Regular passport ( _tr. Umuma mahsus pasaport), also referred to as Navy Blue passport ( _tr. Lacivert pasaport). It is issued to [tr icon [http://www.iem.gov.tr/iem/?menu_id=116 [ İSTANBUL EMNİYET MÜDÜRLÜĞÜ - Lacivert Pasaport ] ] ;
**Turkish citizens who don't qualify for any of the following passport types.
* Special passport ( _tr. Hususi pasaport), also referred to as Green passport ( _tr. Yeşil pasaport). It is issued to [tr icon [http://www.iem.gov.tr/iem/?menu_id=171 [ İSTANBUL EMNİYET MÜDÜRLÜĞÜ - Kimler Hususi (Yeşil ) Pasaport Alabilirler? ] ] ;
**Former members of the National Assembly
**First, Second or Third grade public servants.
**Pensioners First, Second or Third grade public servants.
**Mayors
**Academicians
**Spouse of the special passport holders
**Children of the special passport holders, until they turn 18 (Exception: Daughters of the special passport holders can keep their special passport until they are married or employed)
* Service passport ( _tr. Hizmet pasaportu), also referred to as Gray passport ( _tr. Gri pasaport). It is issued to [tr icon [http://www.iem.gov.tr/iem/?menu_id=118 [ İSTANBUL EMNİYET MÜDÜRLÜĞÜ - Hizmet Pasaportu ] ] ;
**People who do not qualify for the Special or diplomatic passport, however are assigned to travel abroad for official and/or government related purpouses.
**National Athletes
**Turkish citizens working for the International organizations, of which Turkey is a member
**Employees of the Red Crescent
**Employees of the Turkish Aeronautical Association
**Spouse of the service passport holders
**Children of the service passport holders, until they turn 18 (Exception: Daughters of the service passport holders can keep their service passport until they are married or employed)
* Diplomatic passport ( _tr. Diplomatik pasaport), also referred to as Red passport ( _tr. Kırmızı pasaport). It is issued to [tr icon [http://www.iem.gov.tr/iem/?menu_id=119 [ İSTANBUL EMNİYET MÜDÜRLÜĞÜ - Diplomatik Pasaport ] ] ;
**Members of the National Assembly, and the non-PM ministers
**Head judges of the judicial organs, and their deputies
**Diplomats
**Negotiators that are to deal with international issues
**Spouse of the diplomatic passport holders. However, this passport can only be used when accompanying the primary passport holder.
**Children of the diplomatic passport holders, until they turn 18. (Exception: Daughters of the service passport holders can keep their service passport until they are married or employed) However, this passport can only be used when accompanying the primary passport holder.
