East Delhi constituency

East Delhi is one of the seven Lok Sabha constituencies of the National Capital Region which includes Delhi and its surrounding areas. East Delhi is one of the larger and highly populated Lok Sabha constituencies not only in Delhi but all over India. The constituency covers areas east of the Yamuna and has a large population. The current MP from here is Sandeep Dixit, the son of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit. Sandeep Dixit was educated at St. Stephen's College, Delhi (1982-85) and the Institute of Rural Management, ANAND.

The constituency covers areas such as Seelampur, Shahdara, Gandhi Nagar and Preet Vihar.
