Robert Donaldson

Robert Donaldson (born June 14, 1943) is an American political scientist known for his work regarding US and Russian (formerly Soviet) foreign policy.

Donaldson studied at Harvard University for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He is the author of several books on Russian/Soviet foreign policy and has contributed to numerous others.

Donaldson has been a professor at Vanderbilt University, the City University of New York, Fairleigh Dickinson University (where he also served as President), and most recently the University of Tulsa. Donaldson was appointed President of the University of Tulsa in 1990 but resigned the position in 1995. He remained at the University of Tulsa, serving as a professor of political science and director of the Russian studies program.
