"Theatre 1839, July 29 & 30, 1977" is the first release in the "Pure Jerry" series of live recordings by Jerry Garcia and his various solo bands. "Jerry Garcia Comes Alive: New series to offer live recordings from Dead guitarist", "Rolling Stone", August 11, 2004] ] As the title suggests, it was recorded on July 29 and July 30, 1977, at the Theatre 1839 in San Francisco. It features one track, "Gomorrah", of the then-unreleased new album by the Jerry Garcia Band, "Cats Under the Stars".

"Theatre 1839" was reissued in July 2007 exclusively at Borders stores.
