Chaplain of the Coast Guard

The Chaplain of the Coast Guard is a unique United States Coast Guard job position (CG-00A) which includes being part of the United States Navy Chaplain Corps. The Chaplain reports directly to the Commandant of the Coast Guard and is attached to the USCG Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The Chaplain is to advise Commanders to ensure the exercise of religion, provide religious ministry, give support to authorized personnel, advocate for and promote the well-being of all USCG personnel; serve as command liaison to civilian religious leaders, communities, organizations and agencies.
