Elmer Ellsworth Smith (December 5, 1868 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - November 3, 1945 in Pittsburgh) was a former professional baseball player who played outfield in the Major Leagues from 1886 to 1901. He played for the Cincinnati Red Stockings/Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Giants, and Boston Beaneaters.

He led the 1887 American Association in ERA.
