Ilana Vered is a classical pianist born on December 6, 1939 in Israel.
Biography
From age 13 to 15 she attended the
Paris Conservatoire , which awarded her first prize in piano upon her graduation; among her teachers there wereVlado Perlemuter andJeanne-Marie Darré . Vered then continued her music studies at theJuilliard School underRosina Lhévinne .Vered has performed across the world with major orchestras, as a chamber musician, and as a soloist, and her recordings of
Chopin andMoszkowski etudes have received particular critical notice. Vered has also taught master classes and has founded at least two festivals, the Summerfest Series ofRutgers University and Music Fest Perugia inPerugia ,Italy .She recorded for Decca in the 1970s.
