The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Ad Hoc Subcommittee on State, Local, and Private Sector Preparedness and Integration is one of the five subcommittees within the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs

The Subcommittee is an "ad hoc" subcommittee, meaning "for this purpose." Ad Hoc committees are created for a single issue, and are disbanded after the issue is resolved.

Jurisdiction

The Subcommittee's jurisdiction as stated by the Senate Rules is:
* Activities of the Department of Homeland Security related to supporting state and local fusion centers;
* Those Homeland security grants that are targeted specifically to strengthening state and local law enforcement; and
* Activities of the Department of Homeland Security related to the integration of the private sector into the nation’s emergency preparedness and response initiatives.

The Subcommittee is chaired by Democrat Mark Pryor of Arkansas, and the Ranking Minority member is Republican John E. Sununu of New Hampshire
