Herrera International Airport (IATA: HEX, ICAO: MDHE) was located in Santo Domingo. The airport was the hub of most of the Dominican airlines before they closed and opened the La Isabela International Airport, also in Santo Domingo. The airport had connections to Puerto Rico, Cuba, others Caribbean islands. All domestic routes that operated from Herrera are now fly out of La Isabela.

History
