Pontardawe Railway Station was a railway station that ran along the River Tawe and which closed in 1964.
It was situated next to the [http://www.pontardaweinn.co.uk Gwachel] Pub and the Victorian bridge over the Tawe.
The station was used primarily to transport coal. The station closed as the coal mining industry in Pontardawe was declining in the 1960s.
