World Domination Enterprises were a British independent rock band who were active in the 1980s. The band mixed elements of indie rock, industrial music, and dub.
World Domination Enterprises' sound was defined by their atonal guitar, which Keith Dobson revealed was created by detuning, overloading the amplifier and using multiple treble booster pedals [ [http://www.ilxor.com/ILX/ThreadSelectedControllerServlet?boardid=45&threadid=460 A posting by Keith Dobson at I Love Music] Retrieved on 2007-06-18] . They were best known for their cover version of LL Cool Js "I Can't Live Without My Radio", and early single "Asbestos Lead Asbestos", which was first performed by singer/guitarist Keith Dobson's defunct band 012. The band was linked with the Mutoid Waste Company, and played at many of their events, as well as CND benefits [ [http://www.angelfire.com/indie/object_music/wde.html Biography/Discography] Retrieved on 2007-06-18] . Much of the back catalogue is now deleted, though "Asbestos Lead Asbestos" can still be found on the Mute Records 2003 sampler "Post Punk Vol. 1" [ [http://www.mute.com/releases/viewRelease.jsp?id=31026 Post Punk Vol.1 at Mute Records] Retrieved on 2007-06-18] .
