William Kennedy (Connecticut)

William Kennedy (December 19, 1854 - June 19, 1918) was a U.S. Representative from Connecticut.

Born in Naugatuck, Connecticut, Kennedy attended the public schools.He studied law.He was admitted to the bar in 1879 and commenced practice at Naugatuck, Connecticut.He served as member of the State senate 1899-1901.He served as delegate to the Democratic National Conventions in 1896, 1900, 1908, and 1912.He served as member of the Board of Education of Naugatuck 1901-1918. Attorney for the town and borough of Naugatuck 1893-1918.

Kennedy was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress (March 4, 1913-March 3, 1915).He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1914.He resumed the practice of his profession.He died in Naugatuck, Connecticut, on June 19, 1918.He was interred in St. James' Cemetery.
