Ytyk-Kyuyol ( _ru. Ытык-Кюёль; _sa. Ытык-Күөл) is a village ("selo") in the
Sakha Republic ,Russia , located on the left bank of theTatta River (Aldan's basin), km to mi|255 fromYakutsk . It is the administrative center ofTattinsky Ulus . Population: 6,267 (2002 Census); 5,658 (1989 Census). Postal code: 678650.The village name
etymology comes from the name of the lake with the same name located nearby, meaning "The Sacred Lake".It is an agricultural center with developed
cattle breeding .There are two middle-grade schools, a gymnasium, a music school, and a sport school in the village, as well as the literary-artistic museum-reserve "Tatta".
On
May 20 ,2007 the village experienced a flood, with 873 houses being submerged under water. More than 3,000 people had to be evacuated.
