Peetz Wind Farm

The Peetz Wind Farm, also called the Peetz Table Wind Energy Center, is a 400 MW power station currently under construction in north-eastern Colorado. When complete, at the end of 2007, it is expected to be the nation's second-largest wind farm, after the Horse Hollow Wind Energy Center. The Peetz Wind Farm will be capable of generating enough electricity to power nearly 120,000 homes using 267 General Electric wind turbines. At the height of construction, the project is expected employ between 300 and 350 workers. When complete, it will have about 20 full-time employees.
