The sandbowl snail, "Catinella arenaria", is a small species of small air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Succineidae, the amber snails.

Habitat

This species lives in wet hollows in sand dunes. In the British Isles these areas are known as "dune slacks", and when in pristine condition they provide a specialized habitat for an interesting group of fauna and flora.
