List of molluscs recorded in the Netherlands

List of molluscs recorded in the Netherlands

The non-marine species:

There are 197 non-marine mollusc species living in natural habitats in the Netherlands.

Native species: there are 169 gastropod species (52 freshwater , 117 land species) and 28 freshwater bivalve species living in natural habitats.

Introduced species: there are 22 non-indigenous gastropod species (2 freshwater and 20 land species and "Candidula unifasciata" as possibly non-indigenous one), and 4 bivalve species, living in natural habitats in the Netherlands. This is a total of 5 freshwater non-indigenous species living in natural habitats.

Summary table of number of species (non marine species only)

There are 4 locally extinct species in the Netherlands: the marine gastropod "Rissoa membranacea" [nl icon [http://www.anemoon.org/anm/voorlopige-kaarten/kaarten-per-soort/mariene-huisjesslakken/wetenschappelijk/rissoa-membranacea/ Rissoa membranacea — Anemoon ] ] , land gastropod "Spermodea lamellata", and freshwater bivalves "Unio crassus" and "Pisidium tenuilineatum".

ystematic list

This list includes only orders, families and species. (Non-indigenous species only occurring greenhouses in the Netherlands are noted separately, below the main list.)
