Character Information

Olivia Frye came to town as a single mother in 1991 with her teenaged son, Terrence Frye. She was Brian Bodine's defense attorney while accused of murdering Will Cordtland. Terrance's father, Lucas Barnes, came to town soon after. Livia was livid when she found out in the procress of abandoning her and her son, he married a wealthy socialite and adopted her daughter.

Livia fell in love and married with former football star, Tom Cudahy. Not long after they married, a young street kid who was orphaned came into their lives. Jamal Woods was being raised by his aunt. His mother had been in a similar predictament as Livia. She fell in love with a man who abandoned her. Despondant, she turned to drugs, contracted HIV and died from AIDS.

It turned out Jamal's father, Alec McIntyre, was living in Pine Valley! Once he discoved what happened to Janine, he wanted custody of Jamal. Alec was granted custody but relinquished his parental rights once he saw that remaining with Tom and Livia was best for Jamal.

Soon after the Cudahy's left town but Livia returned to Pine Valley to defend Kendall Hart in the Michael Cambias murder trial. Her brother, Derek Frye was having problems with his daughter Danielle, who had run away from her mother. Livia was often the peacemaker between the three. Most recently she handled Jackson Montgomery and Erica Kane's divorce.
