Independence I culture

The Independence I culture was a Paleo-Eskimo culture that lived in northern Greenland from the 24th century BC to the 14th century BC. During this time they coexisted with the Saqqaq culture of southern Greenland. The Independence II culture established in the same place in in the 8th century BC roughly 600 years after the disappearance of Independence I.
