Brian DeMarco (born April 9, 1972) is a retired NFL offensive lineman. He was drafted in the 2nd round by the Jacksonville Jaguars, for whom he played four seasons, and later he signed a 3-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals in 1999, but he retired after that season due to injuries.

Post NFL

DeMarco's post-NFL plight was featured in a Men's Journal article entitled "Casualties of the NFL." It detailed a devastating spinal injury DeMarco received in an NFL game and played on for sometime after, largely because he was given the painkiller Lidocane. [http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/nfl/01/31/upshaw0214/4.html] Because he took painkilers to block it out instead of getting the injury treated, DeMarco is permanently disabled from this injury, cannot work, and is destitute. He has re-applied for NFL disability benefits and is being assisted by the non-profit organization "Gridiron Greats".
