Jean-Baptiste Nguema Abessolo, also seen as J.-B. Abessolo-Nguema, (b.
15 February 1932 ) is aneducator andwriter ofGabon .Born at
Oyem , he was educated there and atLibreville , then studied educational administration atÉcole des Cadres Superieures inBrazzaville and theÉcole Normale Supérieure atMouyondzi .He was a school administrator and inspector of primary schools from 1952 to 1982, interrupted only by a year in
Paris (1960-61). In December 1982 he became director-general of theInternational Center for Bantu Civilizations in Libreville.Abessole has published a number of short stories in both Gabon and France.
